Bank of Ruston Changes Name to Century Next Bank
RUSTON, LA – Bank of Ruston, a 114-year old Louisiana-based financial institution, announced today that it has changed its name to Century Next Bank. The new name is an adaptation of the bank’s holding company name – Century Next Financial Corporation. The bank has locations in Louisiana and Arkansas.
“With our expansion from Lincoln Parish into Ouachita Parish and, more recently, Ashley County, we wanted our name to reflect the unity and dedication to all of the communities we serve,” said Bill Hogan, President and CEO of Century Next Bank. “Our new name signifies the longevity and strength of our dedication to all of the communities we have served for over a century as well as our unwavering commitment for the years to come.”
Although their name has changed, Hogan emphasizes that who they are has not changed. “We’re still the same people offering the same personal service that our customers know and trust. Our customers are our priority, and just as we have been here for our communities for over a century, they can count on us being here for them in the future.”
Century Next Bank was founded in 1905 as Ruston Building & Loan Association. In 2005, the bank changed its name to Bank of Ruston, and in 2010, Century Next Financial Corporation was formed as the bank’s holding company. In 2018, the bank expanded into Ashley County, Arkansas, by completing a strategic merger with First National Bank of Crossett, a more-than-a-century old financial institution. Century Next Bank has three locations in Louisiana and four locations in Arkansas, offering a wide range of consumer and commercial products and services.
