I’m Matt Winkelpleck, and I live in Ruston with my wife and two daughters. Originally from Monticello, Arkansas, I moved to Ruston to attend Louisiana Tech University where I received my BA in Business Management. Upon graduation, I began my career with Century Next Bank, formerly known as Bank of Ruston. In my career journey here, I have worked as a teller, a loan assistant, and I am now the Senior Vice President of Mortgage Lending.
With 17 years of experience in the banking industry for the same company, I have a comprehensive understanding of the financial landscape and of the value of community banking. In my role, I get to help people buy a home, which is one of the largest financial decisions a person will ever make. I love helping first-time homebuyers. Many times, they have no idea what to expect when they begin their home search and do not know about all the different loan programs available that make it financially possible to afford a home. Even if a customer doesn’t currently qualify, I enjoy coaching them and guiding them through the steps they need to complete in order to be able to buy a home in the future.
Beyond the office, my family and I are members of Temple Baptist Church, and I follow all things sports with the LA Tech Bulldogs and the Arkansas Razorbacks. I am the resident “grill master” for CNext and can be found flipping burgers during tailgate season. I also enjoy hunting and spending time outdoors.
As you begin thinking about buying a new home, I encourage you to Bank with Locals at CNext. Your home isn’t just a place – it’s a significant milestone. Don’t depend on a faceless online company to help you achieve your dream. Instead, give me the opportunity to share my financial expertise and personalized approach. I will be a partner who will walk alongside you, ensuring that your family's best interests are at the heart of every decision.
